The 25-year-old "Sorry Not Sorry" singer is "very grateful to be alive" according to E!

The former Disney star's mother, Dianna, has not left her side and is being very protective of her daughter, ET's source says, adding that Lovato has agreed to go to rehab, but has anxious her family by telling them she can kick this habit on her own.

Following the news of her overdose, celebrities and friends of Lovato took to social media to send their words of support.

Fortunately, despite her apparent silence about her alleged recent drug use, Lovato is said to be in "stable" condition. This is obviously a huge wake-up call.

"I'll let you know when they're outside, you should be hearing the sirens real soon", the 911 operator says to Lovato's female friend who placed the call.

In the past 48 hours, thousands of supporters have shared ways that Lovato's personal story, candid conversations and music have inspired them and helped them through hard times in their lives.

Lovato has been relatively outspoken about her struggles with addiction and mental illness in the past, describing battles with depression, an eating disorder, and self-harm, as well as alcohol, cocaine, and Oxycontin abuse. "This is definitely a medical emergency and we need to get there as fast as possible".

On the track, she sings: "Momma, I'm so sorry, I'm not sober anymore / And daddy, please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor". Lovato turned down the help.

She has also admitted having more than one overdose scare in the past, even while promoting a sober lifestyle. "She is a light in this world, and I am sending my love to her and her family". It seems all was well when she went to sleep in her bed and that's when she became unconscious.

She's now on tour and was scheduled to perform in New Jersey this week.
