White House slams Omarosa Manigault Newman's new book as 'riddled with lies'

On Saturday, reporters asked Trump during an event at his golf club in New Jersey if he felt betrayed by Manigault Newman. Now free from the Trump administration, she is opening up in a tell-all book that reportedly claims the president is keeping a secret tanning bed inside the historic residence.

She also claims to have personally witnessed the president use racial epithets including "Flip" and "goo-goo" to describe White House advisor Kellyanne Conway's husband, George Conway, who is half Filipino.

As details of the book have emerged ahead of its release next week, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders issued a scathing statement calling Manigault Newman a "disgruntled former White House staffer" whose book is "riddled with lies and false accusations".

At the time, an early Apprentice producer took to Twitter to say "there are far worse" behind-the-scenes tapes from the show.

However she claims that Mr Kelly was aware that she was close to getting her hands on Mr Trump's compromising Apprentice tapes which prompted him to fire her under another pretext.

In the tome, "Under Fire", the veteran journalist - who had been pals with Omarosa since the latter worked for Al Gore in the '90s - says that Omarosa texted her after she got engaged to John Allen Newman, saying, "I said yes to him!" After Omarosa's reportedly dramatic firing in December, Politico reported that chief of staff John Kelly let her go because she was allegedly abusing White House auto service privileges, among other infractions.

Another White House official confirmed that Manigault Newman brought Cohen into the White House and was later rebuked for it.

Former White House staffer Omarosa Manigault Newman says in a new book that she didn't want to believe President Donald Trump was racist but saw it with her own eyes.

"Hearing it changed everything for me", she told NPR, according to the story, which was published on Friday. Since Trump was ever the germaphobe, I was shocked he appeared to be chewing and swallowing the paper.

According to the Washington Post, Manigault Newman taped many of her private conversations at the White House, and in her book directly quotes from those tapings. "Very shoddy work", Luntz wrote. However, the most unbelievable aspect of Unhinged are the rationalizations Omarosa makes about joining the administration in the first place, claiming that she only realized later that "was indeed a racist, a bigot and a misogynist".
