Ex-Cowboys running back facing Kan. rape charge, held on $500K bond

Joseph Randle is being held on a $500.000.00 Bond, according to Sedgwick County jail records.

TMZ reports that Randle was a fifth-round pick in the 2013 National Football League draft.

Former Oklahoma State star running back Joseph Randle has been arrested in Kansas on suspicion of rape. Randle has been in consistent trouble with the law for years. He gets hit with a felony aggravated battery charge a year later for an altercation he had with an inmate, the newspaper reported.

In six games for the Cowboys in 2015, Randle rushed for 315 yards and four touchdowns on 76 carries. He had been in trouble several times before the team finally cut ties with him, including a shoplifting arrest for stealing underwear and cologne out of a Dallas-area department store.

- In February 2015, Randle was arrested on a marijuana possession charge after police responded to a domestic violence call at the hotel room in which he was staying with the mother of his child.

- In February 2016, Randle was stopped for speeding in a school zone in Irving, Texas.

Months after the beer pong incident, Randle was charged with criminal damage to property in July 2016 after pulling a television off a wall at Sedgwick County Jail and destroying it. In June, a Kansas judge accepted the recommendation of Randle's attorneys and gave him five years probation stemming from that incident.

The Cowboys released Randle in November 2015 reportedly due in part to his involvement in sports gambling.

Randle, who was selected in the fifth round by the Dallas Cowboys in 2013, had been jailed in Wichita for the majority of the past two years in connection with that incident, the Eagle reports.
